Today I'm grateful that this cold hasn't blocked my ears too badly. I'm very, very grateful for throat lozenges. I'm grateful that my house is still on this hill and hasn't been felled by an earth quake, and I'm grateful that the city below me hasn't been washed away by a tsunami.
